Thank you to all those who participated in the last photo competition either as a judge, a photographer, or both. Results will be posted soonish.

Now on to the next challenge! Get out those macro lenses folks, because this week's theme is "Unidentifiable". We would like to ask anyone judging the pictures to dock points if the subject is a recognizable object.

This round begins immediately and will go until Sunday, 17 September. Once again, please email your entries to us. Because this is a significantly trickier topic, and because of the great numbers we had last time, we would like to ask you to each submit only your best 2 photos this time around.

Spread the word for amateur photographers or judges, and thanks again for taking part.

Below are the 16 photographs we received on the topic of Colour. For voting, please post your comments with the "comment" link at the bottom of the post. Give each photo a mark out of ten and be sure to number them in order. Please also post your name.

If you have contributed photos, please give marks to all the photos including your own. This will keep it all annoymous. The marks you give to yourself will be left out of the final calculations. Results will be calculated by averages. We will name the top three photos after the voting period.

Boredom at a Busstop:

Whilst waiting for a bus this weekend in Gyeong-ju, our dear travellers embarked on a one-hour photo contest to kill the time. The following six images are the three best from each of us. Next weeks photo competitions topic will be ...........drum roll please..........colour, simple as that. It will start this Friday August 25 and will close midnight the following Sunday (Sept 3). We are still looking for others to join in if you are interested please get in touch with either Eric or myself at the emails above. We would love to have some other entries, so grab those cameras and get shooting.

Round Two of the photo competition is now finished. Thank you for all who participated in voting! Congratulations to Ryan who won this round overall! Drunkeness awaits him. Eric had the best rated picture with the shot of the spider.

Beginning Saturday, 26 August, a new round will begin that we hope you will be interested in joining. This is open to anyone that we know (or friends of friends. No randoms please) and the subject will be announced closer to the starting date, as will the rules. The subject will be drawn from a hat. Any suggestions for subjects will be added to the draw. Let us know! If you are interested in participating, please email us soonish so we can figure out the details. Please consider it! The more the merrier!

Here are the entries from round two of our photo competition. This time the subject matter was open, but all photos must have been taken in the past nine days while we were on vacation.

Voting will be the same as the last round: on a scale from one to ten for each picture.

This time, however, anyone who is interested is welcome to vote towards the final scores. When voting, please add it as a comment to the bottom of the picture series (click the little pencil icon).

Also, please identify the photo by number beginning with number one at the top, and leave your name and mark out of ten for each image. Any insights, critiques, or other feedback is most appreciated.

The photo competition below has been completed. The winner through points was Eric and he was properly intoxicated for it. The best photo went to Alex with his shot of American flags in the classroom.

The first three photos in the list were Eric's, with Ryan's in the middle, and Alex's at the bottom.
