I vote for #4. Wowzers some spider. The angle is what got to me. It some how seems like it just can't be of this world. I tink it could almost compare to Shelob the killer spider from middle earth.

Runner up has to be #3. The silloutte of the person brings so much life to the TV color pattern.

Good luck to you all.

I'm liking the first shot the best. Nice use of aperture to get the detail of the dragonfly's body and the flower with everything else (even the wings) slightly out of focus. Very cool.

Nice shots all around. My $0.02:

1) 9.5
2) 9
3) 7.5
4) 8.5
5) 8
6) 9

1. 9.5 excellant shot. Main subject in focus while background is muted by being out of focus.

2. 9 Very good shot but it appears somewhat flat. White is very hard to expose properly without underexposing everything else.

3. 10. I love this shot and would enter it into a public photo contest.

4. 10. Another fantastic shot. no distraction from the bakground thus focusing your eye( and keeping it there) on the main subject. Photo contest material

5. 4. This phot has a lot of potential however it's overexposed and slightly out of focus. The over exposure is due to the large amount of light backgroung in the pic. If your camera has a spot meter try using it for pictures with large dark or light area in them. Camera shake may have caused the apparent out of focus.

6. 7. Very good picture. Rule of thumb is not to put the horizon in the middle of the frame. Instead put it in either the top third or bottom third of the frame.

i am inspired by the shot in front of the screen.
also, that last one is classic.. paralysis..
my ratings are as follows:::
1- butterfly.. 8
2- flower.. 7
3- dude screen.. 9
4- spider..9
5- sunflower.. 6
ž- mmm... 9,5

i want to be part of the next round of picture competing.. i love this.. it is easy to take nice pictures but it is more challenging when you start to say something..
when do we find out who wins.. more importantly.. what is the prize..?
keep´ëm comin....
